We try to adopt a geo-tourism approach in planning all our trips. Given below are some basic guiding principles for our trips
- High degree of local community participation to bring out the natural flavour of the place. The tourist shares the local experiences and anecdotes
- Sharing revenues – A large share of tourism revenue is shared with host family, local community and the development organization (our local partner) working in the area. Additionally there is indirect revenue generation in village through local spending by tourists at local vendors / stalls
- A mix of heritage / royalty and Farm experience - We design packages based on tourist aspiration providing them a well rounded experience of India
- Preservation & Conservation - In out trips we attempt not to disrupt the basic social and environmental nuances of a place.
We are committed to provide a meaningful and delightful Authentic Indian experience to all our National / International travelers.
GEO-TOURISM
Geotourism incorporates the concept of sustainable tourism – “destinations should remain unspoiled for future generations – while allowing for enhancement that protects the character of the locale”. Geotourism also adopts a principle from its cousin, ecotourism – that tourism revenue can promote conservation – and extends that principle beyond nature travel to encompass culture and history as well as all distinctive assets of a place.
National Geographic Geotourism Charter
Geotourism is synergistic: All the elements of geographical character together create a tourist experience that is richer than the sum of its parts, appealing to visitors with diverse interests.
It involves the community: Local businesses and civic groups work together to promote and provide a distinctive, authentic visitor experience.
Enhances visitors and hosts experience: Residents discover their own heritage and how the ordinary and familiar may be of interest to outsiders. As local people develop pride and skill in showing off their locale, tourists get more out of their visit.
It means great trips: Enthusiastic visitors bring new knowledge home, telling stories that send friends and relatives off to experience the same thing – a continuing business for the destination.
